Busy New Year

Christmas was good. Marin had fun unwrapping her gifts (and helping others unwrap their gifts as well). Santa brought her a mini 4 wheeler since she liked riding on her Papa's which she calls a tractor. She also got a lot of Elmo stuff, a tea party set, and a bunch of books. I got Eric a new Canon Powershot camera. He was always complaining that the one we had made our pictures come out blurry. He went way over our budget we set by getting me a Slacker portable radio and an Acer Aspire netbook. I have been wanting a mini laptop for sometime now. My old laptop was from 2002 and it weighs like 8 pounds. I hate it because it is hard to carry around and takes like 10 minutes to boot up. So this netbook is perfect for me. It only weighs like 2 pounds.

I was sick over the New Years break, Apparently there was some bug going around. I felt horrible for several days. Now I have been playing "catch up" since I was out of work for so long. My performance review is due tomorrow and I have not even started on it, [:S]

Eric decided he wanted to get an XBOX racing wheel with his Christmas gift card. He looked everywhere for it last weekend and finally found one at Walmart in Plano. He hooked it up and played with it as soon as he got it home. The next morning he was boxing it up to take it back. Not worth $100 in his opinion.

I am turning 30 in 2 weeks. BLERG!! We are planning a weekend trip to San Antonio for a mini vacation. We are staying at the Watermark Hotel right on the riverwalk. It is supposed to be really nice. I got a good deal on Skyauction.com. I basically got 2 nights for the price of one.

Marin is turning 2 in February and I am trying to plan a party at her Nana's house this year. I think I've got a theme picked out but that is about as far as I've planned. I just feel strapped for time these days. My weekends have been very busy lately. This weekend is pretty open so maybe I can finally get some stuff done.
