Long weekend of Shopping & Car issues

I know I have been slacking on my blogs...it has been busy lately with the holidays and work is crazy right now. I have a lot going on.

Thanksgiving was great. Marin got to spend a few days at her NeNe and Papa's house and Eric and I got a little time off from parenting. We enjoyed a happy hour with friends and one night we went to a movie which we haven't done in a l-o-n-g time! (We went to see "Role Model" which Eric thought would be stupid but he ended up laughing the whole time).

This past weekend my mom was in town to do her Christmas shopping. On Sunday we went to the Dallas Arboretum. It was somewhat decorated for Christmas. I expected more but it was still very pretty and had a scenic view of White Rock Lake. We got some good pictures and I'll see if Eric will upload them to Flickr today or tomorrow. He has jury duty today so he may not get to it for a while.

I had to get 2 new tires for my CR-V. We drove it to the arbortetum and Eric was shocked at how bad my front tires were. One was almost totally bald in the center. I don't pay attention to tires so I didn't realize they were that terrible. So yesterday we went to NTB and bought 2 new tires. The total was $278...ouch. Normally that wouldn't be so awful but we have been spending a lot on Christmas stuff and we just bought a 28" monitor to serve as a TV in Marin's room. So our credit card bill will be hefty this month. But you gotta do what you gotta do. My inspection is out too
