Back from Cozumel
We are back, well almost back. I am writing this up as we driving back to Dibol from the Houston airport. Overall it was pretty fun. Marin had a good time! It looks as though she got a little sun as well. Luckily, I did not get burned this time. It was cloudy most of the time, so that was nice. There was a little rain here and there, but nothing bad. The second day we rented wave runners. Angela rode on the back of mine. It was pretty fun, up until we got tossed off of it! We started hitting some waves and with every hit Angela started sliding to the side. I could tell we were about to eat it, so I let off the gas to hopefully recover...didn't happen. It hurt more than I though hitting water face first at relatively high speeds (those babies are quick)! The only casualty was Angela's sunglasses. We got back on the waver runners to finish our session...just a little slower this time. I was pretty sore the following day and didn't do anything too exiting. The next day we rented a car to drive around the city. It was pretty interesting driving there, it was my first time driving in Mexico. The island is pretty small. It has a road that goes around the bottom half of the island. It was about a 45 minutes drive. We stopped at one spot on the Caribbean side to see the big waves.
Prior to the drive, Angela's dad and myself went on an ATV adventure. It travels through some of the Mayan ruins. It was very rocky, so we went pretty slow. Not that you could haul butt since you are in a group following in a line. During most of the trip I had my phone on with the GPS running. If you have Google Earth, you have see some of the places we went by clicking here. The day after that (Thursday) we took it easy and left after lunch. Marin did very well on both flights, however she is not doing so good right now in the car ride to Diboll! More to come later...with photos.
Cozumel or Bust!!
I am excited about our vacation to Cozumel next week. But I am not excited about the Strep I have contracted in the past few days. Ugh! At least I can start taking
