Goodbye Legos (sniffle, sniffle)
Well...we had been contemplating for a while on what we needed to do with our Pomeranian, Legos. We loved him but he was not getting the attention he deserved because Marin was taking up all our time. Marin was scared of him and would start to cry every time he tried to play with her. So we found a loving family in Fort Worth that wanted to give him a new home and take good care of him. We will really miss him. Eric even got choked up a little when he had to say goodbye.
Eric's mom was here over the weekend and fixed up out front yard a bit for us. Now we have flowers planted and trimmed shrubs. Thanks Sonia! Hopefully, we can keep it maintained.
Spaghetti Night
Tonight was spaghetti night for me and Marin. Eric is trying to stay away from carbs so he ate some grilled chicken. I let Marin feed herself so she feels like a big girl. We moved her into her booster seat so she can sit with us at the table. We'll retire the high chair but still have it handy in case we have company and need the extra chair at the table. I thought she would make more of a mess with the spaghetti than she actually did. She loved it. Legos was in the house so anything she dropped he came around and ate off the floor.
We made it back from out long trip
We made it back from our long trip. All was fun and we really enjoyed the wedding. It was a tropical theme and very laid back. Eric was one of the groomsmen.
Gearing up for the weekend
We have a long weekend ahead of us. Tomorrow we leave for East Texas to drop of Marin at my mom's so Friday we can drive down to Texas City for a wedding. That is a lot of driving and for all those who know me know that I hate road trips. The driving back on Sunday will be the killer. Ugh! At least we'll have a good time hanging out with some old friends and tossing back a few drinks. Eric keeps nagging me to pack my suitcase but I'm such a procrastinator. So I made time to do some packing tonight but I got caught up watching TV and now that I am trying to start the packing process I have realized I need to do some laundry. So it is late and I have to put off the packing until tomorrow. I am sure I'll get a huge lecture from Eric but whatev...
We've had a busy month with every weekend either having company in town or going out of town to visit family. We've got the wedding this weekend and then SFA alumni weekend in 2 weeks but other than that our calendar should start to clear out. Christy, I promise we'll have dinner with you an Zac eventually. Even if it is at your new place. 
As for the Easter pics, I tried uploading some that I took on my blackberry but they wouldn't post through Windows Live Writer. Eric (my self proclaimed IT genius) couldn't even get it to work. Will try another route...
