Easter Weekend
Easter was fun this year. The weather was actually nice. We drove down to East Texas on Thursday night. We first visited Eric's family at his mom's house. We played some Rock Band and Marin had fun showing off her dancing skills. She has developed this "stomp" move when she gets on a hardwood floor because I think she likes the way it sounds. Saturday we drove to Diboll where Marin hung out with her NeNe and Papa. She has a little mishap on the sidewalk that afternoon. She fell and scraped her head on the concrete. She has a nice big Band-Aid on her forehead. But it doesn't seem to hurt anymore. I am applying Neosporin on it everyday and she doesn't wince when I touch it. She is a tough girl. We had an Easter egg hunt on Sunday morning and I put her cute little Easter dress on her. She didn't quite know what to do. I had to lead her around and point to the eggs but she didn't seemed too interested. She was having more fun walking around and just looking at her feet.
We are starting to look for vacation packages for a summer trip. We are thinking Cozumel. We would love to go to the Bahamas but it is just way too expensive. Eric is so worried about getting a bad sunburn like he got when we went to Riviera Maya. I told him if he just reapplies the sunblock (and drinks moderately during the daytime) he should be okay. We are looking at a hotel that has a shaded pool so maybe he can just sit there the whole trip. 
I've been taking pictures with my Blackberry camera since every time I ask Eric for our camera he doesn't know where it is or he says it's not charged. He is very stingy when it comes to his electronics. I just asked him if I can have my portable DVD player back from when he borrowed it a year ago and he claims he knows not where it is. Hmm...
Spring Break
My family came in this past weekend for spring break. Marin had loads of fun chasing around her cousins. She was running around and squealing with joy.
Eric bought a car last Wednesday. He decided on an Acura MDX and he found one from a private party seller in Arlington. It is very nice. The seller kept really good care of it. It has 2 door dings which we are looking into getting fixed somehow. We'll post a couple of pictures of it shortly (whenever Eric finds the camera).
Today was an awful weather day. It rained literally all day long. The golf courses were flooded as well as some people's yards. I left my lights on in my car today at work so my battery was dead by the time I tried to leave to go home. I had to call Eric to pick me up and we had to come home to pick up the jumper cables since he had not put them in the MDX yet. It was horrible standing in that cold rain trying to jump start my car. The rain was piercing cold. I did not think that the automatic lights were a big deal when I bought my CR-V but now I wish I had them. You would think Honda would be all over that and make sure it comes standard in their vehicles. But whatever...
We are headed down to East Texas this weekend for Easter. The holiday sure did come early this year. I haven't even had time to dye my eggs yet. I better put that as priority on my to do list.
