I’m not the only clumsy one!

Last night Eric felt it was necessary to run a cable in the attic and was trying to rush to get it done. Well, in his haste he bumped his head on a 2x4. He thinks it had a metal clamp on it and that is what sliced his head open. I was in the living room playing with Marin when he comes in asking if I can see how bad the cut is. I look up and he has blood dripping down his face. I looked at it and could tell it was cut pretty bad but I couldn't see too well because of all the blood. He went down to the urgent care clinic where they told him it needed 3 staples. They also gave him a tetanus shot which I guess is standard procedure. I guess we just need to stay out of the garage and attic so we will stop getting injured. I took a photo of his staples with my blackberry camera. I'll see if I can post it to the picture gallery because, for some reason, it won't let me insert it into this blog.

Pics coming soon…hopefully

Since Eric takes the camera to work (for what I don't know) I am unable to upload the holiday pictures as promised in my previous blog. Maybe I can get Eric to find time to get that done for me soon.

Marin is doing well in the new room at day care. They do coloring in there and they send home these pictures that have like two colored marks across them. Not sure why they have pre-toddlers coloring when they can barely feed themselves at this stage, but whatever. She loves to dance all of sudden. Whenever a song comes on the TV or when her toy cookie jar starts singing she busts a move. Its so cute to watch. She has been co-sleeping in our bed so we finally decided to start putting her in her crib. We've done it a fews days now. The first day she slept in there for about 4 hours until she woke up and started crying and Eric had to get her and brought her back to our bed. The second night she slept for a few hours and woke up but Eric rushed in there and got her back to sleep and then it was about 4:30 before she woke up again. But last night she only lasted a couple of hours and then it was back to our bed again. [:S] No one said it would be easy...

My birthday is coming up next week and I feel indifferent about it. Its just another year closer to 30. I told Eric all I want for my birthday this year is a clean house. Since we've had Marin the house has never been as clean as it used to and I have come to terms with that. But for my birthday I would like a clean and tidy house for at least a few days. I told him if he doesn't want to clean then he can hire a maid to do it. Just as long as it gets done. I don't think that is too much to ask for, right? I would also like my schrubs by the front

Marin’s Movin’ on Up

We spent the holidays in East Texas visiting family. We were gone for over a week and it was kind of nice to get back home and sleep in my own bed again. Marin had a tough time adjusting back to daycare especially since they moved her to the pre-toddler room. Yesterday after work I went to pick her up and went straight to the baby room. I was confused as I walked in and saw new people and no Marin. They told me they went ahead and moved her to the pre-toddler room that morning. In the new room her old teachers were in there with her so I guess
