Another ear infection

I had a nice long weekend. I was off work on Friday and then I had yesterday off too since it was Veterans Day. That is the nice part about working for a credit union (or bank), you get all the federal holidays off with pay. Marin went to the pediatrician Friday afternoon where we discovered her ears are infected AGAIN. [:(] So the doctor prescribed her a different type of antiobiotic to try to knock it out. She has to go back in two weeks to see if it cleared up and if not then she is going to refer us to an ENT doctor. (That would be Ear-Nose-Throat, Eric looked at me crazy when I said ENT) I really don't want to do that because the ENT would basically be checking her to see if she needs tubes. I am crossing my fingers and saying my prayers that this infection will go away! At her appointment she weighed in at 20 lbs. 3 oz. She is now in the 75th percentile for weight. The doc said she can start eating meat. I gave her some ground beef on Saturday and she loved it.

We had Marin's Christmas photos taken yesterday at Kiddie Kandids. It is a small studio inside Babies R Us. They were so great there. I was skeptical because it is such a small studio but the staff was way better than JC Penney, which is where we went last time for her pics. At JC Penney, they did not try much to keep her entertained and get her to smile and so she threw a big fit. At Kiddie Kandids, they played peek-a-boo and had a little feather duster type thing to tickle her. Marin hit all the poses and did a great job. She made her mommy proud. I would put her photos on the web site but I ordered our Christmas greeting cards with the pictures on them and I don't want to spoil the excitement to get the card in the mail so I am going to make you wait. (of course, the grandparents will get to see them beforehand since they get special treatment.) [;)]
