Back from Chicago
We were in Chicago over the weekend while Marin stayed here with her Nana. We had a lot of fun and I didn't miss Marin as much as I thought I would. Don't get me wrong, I love my daughter but sometimes it is nice to get away and have some time to yourself again. Saturday night we went to a bar in Wrigleyville called Merkle's and I felt really old. Everyone there was younger and probably started drinking at like noon or something and were feeling no pain, if you know what I mean. So we were the only ones sitting and just watching everyone make a fool of themselves. That part was really fun.
Marin started daycare this week. Eric said she seems to like it. They have a bunch of toys and swings to keep her entertained. So now Eric can go back to work and get a little normalcy

It has now been 3 nights that Marin has slept through the night without feeding!
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!
Yesterday was Marin's visit to the pediatrician. She had to get her shots and it was awful to see her cry in pain. She weighed (drumroll) 16 lbs. 14oz. Yes, she is a little on the chunky side for her age. The doctor tried to make me feel better by saying "Oh, when she starts crawling and walking her weight will balance out". Thanks, doc. We discussed sleeping through the night and I told the doctor she still gets up once a night and we feed her thinking she is hungry. So the doc said to try and put her back to sleep without feeding her. So I am thinking 'yeah right!'. So last night when she started to wake up Eric gave her the pacifier and placed her blanket beside her to hold and she went right back to sleep. Amazing! We probably could have been doing this all along and saved some valuable sleeping time. The doctor also cleared Marin to start eating rice cereal and so we tried feeding her some last night but she just didn't want it. She cried the entire time so we decided

Well, it was another eventful weekend. Eric decided to get his Father's Day gift early and bought a new LCD TV for our bedroom. Once we took out the armoir and mounted the TV on the wall our room looked really bare. Now I have to think of something to do with the extra space.
